The Wonders Of His Love
A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
John 10:10 MSG
Good Morning!
God loves you. He really does. God wants you to have a wonderful life because He loves you. Although this may seem a basic understanding, sometimes it is hard to grasp or imagine because of the challenges of life. To learn about the importance of imagining it, listen to the messages I have shared on Sunday. (To listen to Sunday Series, click here.).
Whenever we are challenged in life, we are presented with multiple choices. One choice is to choose what we believe about God’s heart towards us. Do we believe God wants us to have a wonderful life? Or do we believe the negative situation is just “our lot in life.” What do you believe about God’s love toward you?
Life is full of challenges. Unfair things happen. Bad things happen. All of those things have nothing to do with God’s heart toward you. In John 10:10, Jesus told us that our enemy is a thief. As the Scripture says, the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus said that He came that you might have a life that’s better than you can dream of. The AMPC of this verse says that Jesus came that you might have and enjoy life. Jesus came that you might have life in abundance, to the full, til it overflows.
When you look at the negative situation in front of you, ask yourself these questions, “Who is behind this situation? Is it God or the thief?” When you finally realize that it is the thief, you will be able to apply the answer of Jesus. The life that Jesus came to give you is the answer to anything the thief could try to bring about in your life.
Your faith produces the most results when you believe that God loves you and desires that you have a wonderful life. As the Christmas carol exclaims, “the wonders of His love.” Faith in God’s wondrous love for you will transform your life into the wonderful life that God has for you. Don’t let today’s challenge change your mind about how much God loves you. God’s will for your life is a result of His wonderful love.
Today, tell Him this, “God, I trust you because I know you love me. I will follow you because I know you love me. I will do what you say because I know that you love me. I am open to hear from you because I know that you love me. Something good is going to happen to me today because I know that you love me. I expect miracles because I know that you love me.” Take time to stream today’s Faith in the Morning podcast devotional and pray the Ephesians 1 prayer.
