This Is How You Need To See Yourself

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

Good Morning!

This is going to be a great week for you! You are anointed! No matter what happens this week, you are anointed to handle it and make a difference. God has anointed you for such a time as this.

The passage above shares that God anointed Jesus to do good and to heal. One of the definitions of doing good is to be philanthropic. A person who is philanthropic seeks to promote the general welfare of others especially by donating money to good causes. This word also means to be generous and benevolent.

Jesus was and still is a philanthropist and He wants to be good and generous to others through you. You are part of the Body of Christ which means you are anointed!

You are anointed to do good and to be philanthropic. That’s how God sees you and it’s time for you to see yourself that way too. You must see yourself as a person God has anointed. That is one of the first steps to seeing yourself as an anointed philanthropist. God has empowered you to make a difference, but you need to see yourself as anointed and empowered by God.

As you go throughout this week, remember God has anointed you. You are not in this by yourself and you have far more than your natural ability and willpower at your disposal. You have the anointing of God that can help you in every area of your life. I share more about this topic in today’s podcast devotional. You can stream it on YouTube, Apple Podcast, or Spotify.

Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I thank you for loving me and for being with me. I make myself available for you to be good to others through me. Help me to see myself as an anointed philanthropist. Thank you for being so good to me! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
