Keep Following Your Shepherd

The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

Psalm 23:1 (AMPC)

You have a Good Shepherd! John 10 tells us that Jesus is our Good Shepherd and Psalm 23 shows what our Good Shepherd wants to do in our life. As I shared yesterday, where He is leading us is far better than our present situation and far more wonderful than what we have previously imagined.

He is leading you to a place of no lack in every area of your life. As we learn to follow the leading of our Shepherd, we must also employ faith and patience. James 1:4-8 (NKJV) says, “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

Be patient in the process and follow His leading by faith. You will be glad you did. Where He is leading you is far grander than you’ve imagined, however it is going to take faith and patience to get there. Don’t give up. Keep moving forward by faith. You will experience the extreme goodness of your Good Shepherd!

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, I thank you for loving me. I believe in you, your love, and your plan for my life. Help me to stay sensitive to your leading and get into the rhythm of rest for my life . I trust you! Thank you for first loving me. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
