Isn't It Time For An Upgrade?

Good Morning!

This is going to be a great day for you! Let’s take look at Ephesians 1:18. As you heard me share yesterday, the Ephesians 1 prayer is an important prayer for you to pray daily! Why? It’s a prayer that will upgrade you!

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18

This is a prayer that upgrades our spiritual perception and insight. The Believer being granted the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him causes the eyes of their understanding to be enlightened. Eyes speaks to the Believer’s vision and spiritual sight. In this Scripture, understanding is defined as the mind, deep thought, and imagination. The word, “enlightened” means to brighten up or to be illuminated. The Amplified Classic Edition uses the phrase “flooded with light.” This Ephesians 1 prayer is a prayer which results are upgrading of the Believer's spiritual perception and insight.

The Good News Translation translates this portion of the verse as, “I ask that your minds may be opened to see His light.” Every person’s life is greatly effected by their perspectives and mentality. The incorrect mentality can keep a person trapped and robbed of their full potential. In order to close this year out right and enjoy everything that God has for you in 2024, your spiritual perception and insight must be upgraded. There is more that God wants you to know, to experience, and to be a part of. Can’t see how or why? That’s another reason why you need to daily pray the Ephesians 1 prayer. As my wife Lady Racquel likes to say, “Don’t count yourself out of what God planned for you.” God has a wonderful plan for your life; it’s time for you to go forward in it.
