The Holy Spirit Is Empowering You Today!

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your reading through the Book of Acts this month. One of the themes that stands out regarding the Book of Acts is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. The Prophets foretold it and the Gospels pointed to this empowerment.

In the Gospels, John the Baptist preached about the coming empowerment and called it the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. In fact, when Jesus came to John in the wilderness, John mentioned that was the baptism he was looking for. (Matthew 3). Multiple times in the Gospels, Jesus promised the empowerment of the Spirit.

With so many repeated promises and foretellings of the empowerment of the Spirit, we should realize the importance of having a life empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are not in this by ourselves. We do not have to rely on our strength and will power. We have access to the dynamic, explosive, energizing, miraculous power of the Holy Spirit.

One of the things I love about the Book of Acts is how it shows that it wasn’t just the the twelve Apostles who received the empowerment. Stephen was empowered. Phillip was empowered. Paul was empowered. Barnabas was empowered. Cornelius was empowered. All of those in the Upper Room in Acts 2, the gathering in Acts 5, Cornelius’ house in Acts 10, the small meeting of disciples in Acts 19, and more were all empowered.

The Holy Spirit wants to empower you and help you in every area of your life. As I close today’s email, please say this, “Good Morning, Holy Spirit. I am open to Your leading and guiding today. Thank You for empowering me. I am open to the more You have for me so that I can fulfill Your plan for my life.”

Thank you for starting your day with Faith in the Morning. We love you and are praying for you. Have a miraculous day!
