You Are An Heir!

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

Ephesians 1:11 (NKJV)

Good Morning!

Did you know that you are an heir and that you have an inheritance? That is exactly what the Bible says about you! Romans 8:17 declares that you are an heir of God. As an heir, Jesus has given you an inheritance. In Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the church to know the inheritance that God has placed inside of them. If Paul had to pray that way, then it is possible for believers to live their entire lives without knowing or accessing their inheritance.

Don’t miss this Sunday at Faith Christian Center! Our special guest speaker will be Tim Storey!

This past Sunday, I shared a message called “X Marks The Spot.” In this message, I began to share some of the wonderful things that God has placed on the inside of your spirit! As I cover in today’s podcast devotional, in order to grow in spiritual confidence we must develop the habit of acknowledging what God has placed on the inside of us. If you don’t know it’s there, you will never use it. If you do not regularly acknowledge it, you will forget about it and live without it.

As an heir, you have angelic assistance (Hebrews 1:14) and an inheritance available to you. Don’t neglect your inheritance today. Remember, that God didn’t put you in this life for life to happen to you. He supernaturally equipped you so that you can go happen to life and share the light, love, and power of Jesus wherever you go. Praying the Ephesians 1 prayer is a great daily habit to start so that you grow in awareness of what God has placed inside of you.

Pray the Ephesians 1 prayer with me today, “Father, I pray that you, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you. I pray that the eyes of my understanding are enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of your calling, and what are the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of your power to us who believe, according to the working of your mighty power, which you wrought in Christ, when you raised Him from the dead, and set Him at your own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. You have put all things under His feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of him that fills all in all. Father, I thank you that when you seated Jesus at your right hand you have also seated me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

In our podcast devotional today, I share more about your inheritance. You need to see yourself as a recipient of God’s great love, His amazing mercy, and as a recipient of His inheritance. In Friday’s devotional, I shared why you must stop saying that you’re unworthy. If you’re going to walk in uncommon favor and access your inheritance, you must realize the blood of Jesus has made you worthy.

Thank you for starting your day with Faith in the Morning. We love you and are praying for you. Have a miraculous day!
