Are You Healthy?

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

Psalm 103:1-3 (NKJV)

Good Morning!

As we endeavor to stay mindful of God’s benefit of healing, I have a question for you. Are you healthy? God wants us healed, healthy, and whole, but what does it truly mean to be healthy?

To be healthy means to be in a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Let’s look at what Isaiah prophesied concerning Jesus’ sacrifice.

In Isaiah 53:4-5, the prophet speaking of Jesus says, “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (NKJV)

This passage shows that the price was paid for us to be healed, healthy, and whole in our entire being. Jesus paid the price for us to be healed, healthy, and whole. What areas of your life are healthy? What areas are unhealthy?

In today’s podcast devotional on YouTube, Apple Podcast, or Spotify, I share more about this and pray a prayer concerning this for you. Today and this weekend, take sometime to examine the unhealthy areas of your life. As you take communion, ask God for wisdom on the steps you need to take for it to become healthy. We’ll dive further into this topic in next week’s newsletter and podcast.

Pray this with me today, “Father, thank you for being my healer. I believe in and receive your benefits! Jesus took my infirmities and carried away my sicknesses so I’m getting stronger every day. He paid the price for my healing so I deny the right for sickness, disease, and pain to stay in my body. By the power of the love of God and the blood of Jesus, I am healed, healthy, and whole. Father, I desire to be healthy in every area of my life. Grant me wisdom concerning the steps I need to take to live a healthy life. Thank you Father for loving me so well. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

On August 18th, I challenged my Faith family to take communion every day until September 15th. To learn why and see the benefits that it will bring your life, watch The Cup, the Covenant, & the Contradictions. I would love for you to join us in taking communion every day. I believe something special will take place in your life and heart as you do. Have a great day!
