"So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!"

Good Morning!

During our staff meeting this week, our assistant pastor brought up the reading for the day, Acts 5. As we were discussing plans for Resurrection Sunday, he reminded us what Gamaliel said in the Acts 5 passage above. I want to share that encouragement and more with you, today.

When you step out to follow God, you may run into resistance. People who should support you may resist you instead. Individuals who should come to your aid may stay far away. However, when you are doing what God has called you to do, He will fight for you.

You are not in this life by yourself. You may feel lonely and overwhelmed at times, but remember the truth that God is fighting for you. As I close today’s newsletter, I want to remind you of what Moses said multiple times in multiple places to the people of God in the Old Testament, “The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm…The LORD your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt. And you saw how the LORD your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place…For the LORD your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!” (Ex 14:14, Deut. 1:30-31, Deut. 20:4 NLT) 

The Lord your God is with you. He is leading you and He is fighting for you. Don’t give up. Your best is yet to come. Keep moving forward.
