Expect The Unexpected

Good Morning!

Something good is going to happen to you today, so expect miracles! Last night, I began a Midweek Bible Study on the peace of God. I believe the peace of God is far greater than what we have previously known. God’s peace is greater than whatever storm you are facing. In the message, we answer three important questions for you:

  1. What is the peace of God?

  2. Why is it available for you?

  3. How do you make peace your reality?

Stream “God’s Peace Is Greater Than Your Storm” today and read through my notes from the Bible Study. I truly believe we need to have a greater understanding of God’s peace for the days ahead. No matter what lies ahead, we can live in peace because we are confident of the goodness of God.

In February, I want to spend a few podcasts and newsletters answering questions from YOU! Do you have a specific question that you would like answered in our Faith in the Morning newsletter and podcast? Submit your question here.

You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.

Psalm 65:11 NKJV

As we covered yesterday, your 2024 is crowned and surrounded by the goodness of God. In the Hebrew, goodness is defined as good things, prosperity, property, supply, and provision. It is good in the widest sense of the word and good to the farthest extreme. That’s what God wants you to experience. Yes, we know we will encounter challenges and disappointments. However, Psalm 27:13 informs us that the key to not giving up in life is believing that we will see the goodness of God in our lives.

In believing that we will see the goodness of God in our lives, we need to expect unexpected goodness. Sometimes, when we pray about certain issues, we think that God has to handle it one certain way. However, God is the Almighty God. He is brilliantly creative and has millions of ways to answer your prayer and make the situation turn for your good.

Stay open to unexpected miracles. God knows what He is doing. Remember what Psalm 31:19 says!

How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.

Psalm 31:19 NLT

Expect unexpected goodness today. Live in expectation of situations working for your good. When you are faced with a challenge, don’t be discouraged. Whether that stormy challenge came from the enemy, people, or the circumstances of life, see it as an opportunity for the goodness of God to manifest in your life. Simply reply to the situation saying, “This will turn for my good.”

Why? You know the character and track record of your God. You know He will come through for you! He delights in pouring out goodness on your life because you live in reverence towards Him and you trust in Him.

One more thing: God delights in surprising His people with good things. When God surprises us, we stand in awe. We are filled with hope and wonder. Despite the storms on the horizon, days of awe are here. We are going to see God do amazing things that will leave us all in awe. I’ll share more about that tomorrow.
