Don’t Shy Away From This

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)

You, yes you, are called to glory.

As we delve in to our study of the glory, I want you to realize that God’s glory isn’t supposed to be unfamiliar to you.  Since you are a believer in Jesus, God’s glory is on the inside of you.  As 2nd Peter 1:3 tells us, we are called to and called by God’s glory.

2 Corinthians 4:6 & 7 (NLT) says, “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.”

There is more for you to know and understand about God’s glory.  Don’t shy away from this topic. This topic isn’t reserved for those who are super spiritual. It’s for all believers. All believers are called to glory and should operate in God’s glory as a lifestyle.

As you stream our podcast devotional today, pray the Ephesians 1 prayer, and live open to the Spirit of God, I believe you will grow leaps and bounds in understanding the glory God has put on the inside of you! Let’s grow in the glory together!

Say this with me today, “God has a plan for my life. I am a carrier of the glory of God. The glory of God enables me to be the light of this world, overcome the forces of darkness, and make a difference in my world. Father, I pray that you will cause my eyes to be flooded with light so that I may know the hope of your calling and the riches of the glory you have placed inside of me. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
