Develop Your Confidence In The Anointing
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
Good Morning!
Acts 10:38 refers to the anointing upon Jesus. In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus describes that anointing by quoting the prophet Isaiah saying, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."
Luke 4 reveals that Jesus shared this passage wherever He preached during the early days of His ministry. Jesus was confident in the anointing upon His life. You also need to be confident in the anointing upon your life.
God has a wonderful plan for your life. He did not only plan your life, but He also empowered you with the anointing to fulfill His plan. You have to grow in confidence where that anointing is concerned.
One way to grow in confidence in that anointing is by following the example of Jesus. Acknowledge the anointing upon your life simply by saying, “I am anointed.” To add specificity to this affirmation, you can add by what God has anointed you to do. Make acknowledging the anointing upon your life part of your morning routine. It will help you grow in confidence concerning the anointing God has placed upon your life.
Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I thank you for loving me and for being with me. I make myself available for you to be good to others through me. I thank you for anointing me. Help me to grow in confidence concerning the anointing upon my life. Thank you for being so good to me! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
