You Can Be Free Of Your Past!

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Hebrews 10:19-23 NLT

Good Morning!

Your past is not greater than your future! Your best is yet to come! In our podcast devotional today, I dived into a way for you to free yourself from your past. Make sure you stream it (it’s only about six minutes long.)

We have to learn to put our confidence in the what the blood of Jesus accomplished for us and what the power of the Holy Spirit can do in our lives. When we put our trust in Jesus, His blood washed away all of our sins. You are not who you used to be. Do you remember the story of the Apostle Paul? Before he met Jesus, he was a terrorist. He persecuted, jailed, hunted, and killed Christians. However, once he made Jesus his Lord, God never brought up his past to him ever again.

God is not holding your past over your head. He wants you to move into the future He has for you. It’s a future where His favor is poured out in a marvelous way.‭ As I shared yesterday, don’t judge your future by the mistakes of your past. Don’t judge what God can do in your life because of all of your failures and shortcomings. The blood of Jesus was shed for you. Because of the blood, you have an opportunity to have faith in God and believe for His best for your life.

The favor of God is available to you today. Do what we shared in today’s podcast devotional, choose to believe that God has forgiven you, and choose to believe that God has a bright future for you. Feeling guilty and condemned will not enable you to live holy. Those feelings and mentalities will sabotage your faith and the life God has for you. You can be free of your past. Choose to believe God has forgiven you, forgive those who have wronged you, and believe that your best is yet to come.

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, thank you for your favor and your help. Help me to forgive those who wronged me. Help me to grow in understanding that I am truly forgiven. I believe your favor surrounds me as a force field. I ask for greater levels of your favor to manifest in my life. I ask for your help, today. Lord, help us grow in understanding of your favor so that we can live in the upward cycle of favor. I ask that you show us how we all can be wise stewards of your favor. Your favor makes the difference in our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Thank you for starting your day with Faith in the Morning. We love you and are praying for you. Have a miraculous day!
