As of this Spring, the Faith in the Morning podcast devotional has been streaming for four years. In just a few short weeks, we will stream our 1,000th episode! Yesterday, my wife shared how patience is the missing ingredient we need to experience the life God has for us. Patience is so needed that God said we can have double patience. In Colossians 1, Paul prayed for the church to have all patience and longsuffering with joy. Notice that! Patience and longsuffering! That is double perseverance and endurance!

Going to the next level and experiencing the life God has for you, will take “all patience and longsuffering.” However, this patience is not a depressed patience. It’s patience with joy!

You can wait on God with joy and great hope. Patience and faith is the lifestyle that inherits the promises of God. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. Keep moving forward. It will be worth it. As Hebrews 10:35-36 says, “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”‬‬
