This Is Where Your Strength Flows From

“strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;”

Colossians 1:11 (NKJV)

Good Morning!

As we covered yesterday, the source of our patience is of supernatural origin. On days when it seems like we are running low on patience, we can connect to the strength of God that will enable us to have patience and supernatural endurance. Remember what Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

You can be strong and patient because Christ lives in you. Your strength flows from Him. I love how the AMPC translates Ephesians 6:10. It says, “In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].”

‭‭We are empowered through our union with Him. John 15 teaches us that we must stay connected to the vine. As we acknowledge Him throughout our day, ask for His advice and direction, and practice His presence, we grow stronger and develop in all of the fruit of the Spirit.

Don’t try to be strong on your own today. Your strength flows from your union and communion with Him.

Let’s pray the Colossians 1 prayer together today. Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I pray that you will fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; so that I might walk worthy of you, Lord, unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of you, strengthened with all might, according to your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy. Father, I give you thanks for enabling me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light: you have delivered me from the power of darkness, and have translated me into the kingdom of Your dear Son: In Jesus I have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins. I thank you for these things in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
